We finally ventured out to another beach and decided to go to Waimea beach. We were hoping to find somewhere that had more waves so that we could swim, but it turned out the Waimea didn't really have great waves. The water reminded me a lot of the California beaches in that it was kind of murky, dark water. It was still fun to play in so we did our usual beach routine and laid out while reading books and we actually did swim. We had so much sand in our swimming suits by the time we were done which was quite comical. Around 4ish, we decided to take the bus back to our condo, get ready, then go back to Hale'iwa to go shopping and get a snow cone. Once we got there, we discovered that practically everything had closed at 6 or 7 pm which was insane because who does that?! Every shop except for the grocery store was closed and the snow cone place had closed which was our main reason for venturing out. We found an ice cream shop and a couple of restaurants open so we decided to get ice cream. We discovered that one scoop of ice cream cost $3.50 which we viewed as a complete rip off so we went around looking at menus of the restaurants that were open. We finally decided on Pizza Bob's and ordered 2 appetizers to share. Once we were done there we decided to go to the grocery store to get a treat and then come back to the condo to watch a movie (which we ended up deciding on the Newsies).
